Small town charm prevails in the town and village of Grafton, a thriving community ideally situated a few miles west of Lake Michigan and just 20 minutes north of downtown Milwaukee. In addition to the lake front, it also has the beautiful Milwaukee River flowing through it giving it spectacular views throughout. Stroll down the scenic Milwaukee River on the Grafton Riverwalk and be sure to stop by the Arts Mill Gallery & Boutique. Once a flour and woolen mill, it is now a working studio producing works of art by local artisans.

Treasure stunning sunsets over Lake Michigan at the 73-acre Lion’s Den Gorge Nature Preserve. Follow the Lion’s Den Trail for a peaceful and scenic path through the park, a gorge, and then end up at the lakeshore where you can relax with the lapping of waves or take in the magnificent views atop the almost 100 foot bluffs. It will surely become your favorite spot where every season brings new delights.

For genuine hospitality and delicious food, head over to the Water Street Brewery. A large and open brewpub offering traditional and speciality beers with plenty of bar seating or intimate dining areas. Be sure to try their delicious fried Wisconsin cheese curds and a deep-fried Old Fashioned.

The Milwaukee Ale House is a charming and lively restaurant right on the Milwaukee River with gorgeous views of the river and waterfall from their patio. With plenty of beer selections and a great fish fry, this “hidden treasure” is a family-friendly place with terrific service and amazing food.

Jumping Country offers a secure and safe venue for parents and children to enjoy an inflatable playground. Giant slides, obstacle courses, basketball court, inflatable sports games and more, it is an ideal way for the little ones to get wild and burn off energy. Parents are welcome to join in the fun and you can bring your own food and drinks along with unlimited re-entry.
