What You Will Love

The Schlitz Audubon Nature Center is contained in 185 acres of forests, wetlands, ravines, bluffs, and the shoreline of Lake Michigan and provides environmental programming for all ages. With breathtaking views from the 60-foot observation tower, rustic winding trails, wildlife encounters, and the endless singsong of birds, you will feel like you are in another world.

The annual Village Picnic takes place every year in September at Ellsworth Park and the entire community gets together for delicious food, wine tasting, live music, and games, a climbing wall, and bouncy castles for the kids. What a great way to get to know your new neighbors.

Local Places We Love

For over 50 years, the family-owned and operated Bayside Garden Center has been Bayside’s go-to place for garden supplies, products, and tools for your outdoor oasis. Their constantly changing greenhouses are full of diverse and beautiful quality flowers and plants - and what they don’t have, they are happy to special order for you. With patient, knowledgeable staff who are happy to provide gardening ideas and advice - even the resident cat will greet you on arrival.

Fairy Chasm Natural Area is a wildlife haven and reserve for rare plants. Designated a State Natural Area in 1968, this 80-100 foot deep chasm was created by the flow of Fish Creek, small stream that drains into Lake Michigan. These 19 acres of gorgeous preserved woodland contain a unique microclimate that mimics northern habitats and allows for species not normally found this far south to survive. Excellent for bird watching or hiking, this area has controlled access so contact the Ozaukee Washington Land Trust for a parking pass.

Property Types
